Nile Projects & Trading Company was founded in 1972 as a small family business owned by Ossama El-Naggar and later grew into an Egyptian holding company formally established in 1985, after a partnership with local Egyptian owned Nile Bank. Since then, Nile Projects has grown in a wide range of industries, with a specialisation in foreign based brand holdings.

Since its foundation in 1972 and later incorporation in 1985, Nile Projects & Trading Co. has witnessed many transformations in the business range, products and services which the company offers.
Starting out as a family business importing tires and food products for the Egyptian market, the success story founded by Ossama ElNaggar steadily established itself.
A rewarding partnership was formed with Nile Bank. The core business was the importation and distribution of major brands of tires. Over the next few years there was less focus on food products.
With a proven track record of success Nile Projects became the full distributor for Bridgestone products. This strengthened their share of the market as the tire business went from strength to strength.
When Bridgestone acquired the brand Firestone the exclusive rights for Egypt were also transferred to NPTCO. Between the years 1990 and 2000 NPTCO continued with its role as a wholesaler to the huge network of tire distributors throughout the country.
The first two outlets of Fit & Fix were inaugurated. The experience accumulated and knowledge of the local market had put Nile Projects in the position to provide informed and professional service directly to motorists.
Nile Projects diversified into fashion brands after seeing potential for big-name designers and retailers to launch in the Egyptian market.
NPTCO beginning into fashion retail and was a pioneer in introducing international high-end and luxury brands into the Egyptian market.

Celebrated the opening ceremony of the first Bandag retreading factory, the first of its kind in Egypt. Nile Projects started importing tire rims for wheels and batteries.
NPTCO was awarded as best agent and distributer of Bridgestone Middle East and Africa for 2010. And was also awarded as best solution business and after sales service for year 2010.
Signs master franchise agreement for Burberry and opens first store.
Tires wholesale distribution expanded to Saudi Arabia. NPTCO was awarded for best CSR activities.
The Kawatchagy brand was inaugurated to extend quality tire service and sales to different market segments of vehicle drivers.
